2º Bachillerato C. Writing - Unit 5

This time you are going to write a description of the place where you live (100-150 words) or another place you know. Follow the steps in "Getting organized" and make use of some of the useful expressions below:

GETTING ORGANIZED.

- Step 1 Name the place and say where it is located.
(Nombra el lugar y di donde se encuentra)
- Step 2 Describe the place and the things you can see and do there.
(Describe el lugar y las cosas que puedes ver y hacer)
- Step 3 Give a recommendation of what to do and not to do there.
(Recomienda qué hacer y qué no hacer allí)
- Step 4 Use a variety of adjectives and adverbs.
(Usa varios adjetivos y adverbios)
- Step 5 Check your work for mistakes.
(Revisa el escrito)

USEFUL EXPRESSIONS

- It is located... (Está situado...)
- The scenery is... (El paisaje / La vista es...)
- It offers... (Ofrece...)
- I recommend... (Recomiendo...)
- You shouldn't  miss... (No deberías perderte...)
- ... is worth seeing. (... merece la pena verlo.)

REQUIREMENTS:

1 Summaries must be written on a A4 paper. Other formats (or sheets from a booknote) will not be accepted!

2 Try to write with readable caligraphy so I can understand what you write. Do not forget to include your name!

3 The deadline for this summary will be the 21st of April. The essay will not be accepted later.

1º Bachillerato A/B/C. Writing - Unit 5

En esta ocasión vais va a escribir un ensayo de opinión sobre el siguiente tema: Todo el mundo debería aprender una lengua extranjera en la escuela. Para ello podéis tomar como modelo la actividad 1 de la página 62 del libro. La descripción debe contener entre 80 y 120 palabras. Incluye alguna de las siguientes expresiones en tu descripción:

- As I see it... - Como yo lo veo.../ Desde mi punto de vista...

- There's no doubt that... - No hay duda de que...

- In my opinion... - En mi opinión...

- I think / believe that - Pienso/Creo que...

- I agree / disagree about... - Estoy deacuerdo / en desacuerdo con...

- I agree / disagree that... - Estoy deacuerdo / en desacuerdo en que...
- I agree / disagree with (+ person)... - Estoy deacuerdo / en desacuerdo con...(alguien)

Haz uso de parte de la guía de escritura (writing guide) en la página 159 del libro para ayudarte.

REQUISITOS MÍNIMOS:

1. Realiza el escrito en un folio. No se aceptarán escritos en hojas de cuadernos o similares.
2. Escribe con letra clara y legible. Una letra no legible implica la no corrección de la prueba.
3. La entrega de la prueba no se aceptará más allá de la fecha de entrega establecida.
